Torchlight II has four all new classes to play. The outlander is a gun slinging dual wielder with some potent magic spells, the embermage is the magic wielder with a focus on elemental casting.

I've posted before, but man, I just really love this build. It's a super active style and I find high activity to be the most fun. Plus, it gives you a craptonne of minions to run around and fight for you. It becomes your job to position yourself well and conduct the action while never getting hit with a melee attack and protecting yourself from range attacks with Ice Prison.

You can't just run around mindlessly taking clubs to the face and arrows to the chest.you've got to play it smart. Just replace skill 2 (Magma Mace) with Frost Wave.

Magma mace just isn't very useful in this build (damage is based on DPS and this isn't a DPS build - also, this build is too squishy in the higher NG+ and up difficulties, so kiting and blocking with Ice Prison is much better than getting too close to guys).Also, you'll notice from the overview video that Prismatic Bolt is on skill 1 and regular wand attack is on Left Mouse Button. I found out after I made the overview video that you can put some better skills on LMB, in my case Prismatic Bolt. This frees up skill 1 for something such as Elemental Boon or Thunder Locus. I also forgot to mention, since kiting and visibility are so important on this build, you'll also want to get yourself a camera distance mod. But I think the default camera is too close no matter what the build. All this, plus smart play, can easily take you up to NG on the regular Synergies mod. I'd also recommend, if u don't have a mouse like the Razer Naga, to put your 1-10 on something like 1-5 and qwert, and use zx for your potions.

You'll be casting so much that having to constantly reach over to 890 will be slow and possibly innacurate. Since no one said anything about the Outlander, I will: it can quickly be boring if you pump everything in glaive throw with lots of mana, and you are kinda taken into this road since it's the best AoE in the beginning, aside from using shotguns. Mixed Builds are cooler for this class, but also usually worse. I'm going in kind of a summoner build, with spells for skeletons plus the Shadow Golem and the bat-procs, and I use the two first skills for all-around damage.

So far is holding up!Ps. Get the respec potion mod so you can change builds a bit more easily, without grinding the whole game just to see what works or what is cool.
