Personalized Setting Not Responding Windows 10
Posted By admin On 09.10.19May 13, 2018 Windows 10 updates have been installed on a HP elitebook 8460p. When i reboot I am now stuck on the personalized settings not responding on a black screen. I have tried many things to no avail. The solutins that i have read have not been helpful. Any thoughts? For the most part.I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. Ever since we migrated from Windows 7 to Win 10 (free upgrade) we have this situation. Whenever there is update for the Windows, the computer is stuck for 5-10-30 minutes at black screen with only one DOS window open saying 'Personalized settings (not responding).The computers are connected to domain and everything is in one building/network. The time this screen is on is kind of random (old computers can start sometimes faster than new ones, old users can start faster new ones).Anyone has had similar problem in the pas or know what can cause the problem? I have the same issue and seem to have no fixes. It happens every update it feels like. I believe this is a possible bug for any system upgraded from a lower OS to Win 10.@Gilnov, after a bit of searching, I finally found the Winlogon folder. The first thing in the list is ' (Default) REGSZ (value not set) '.
Please write back if this is normal or how to change it. I'm not too familiar with this.@mattl6 Restarting explorer.exe does absolutely nothing. That's simply restarting it.
It doesn't change the program being crashed and desplaying nothing but a nearly blank screen. I tested your instructions to the T, and it is not a solution. Thank you for the help though.
