Lance Recruitment System Warband
Posted By admin On 17.10.19So I just started playing the 1257 AD mod, and I'm overwhelmed 5 minutes in. Can someone help me out? I don't know what to do or where to start, and I usually play as a knight/noble character.EDIT: What I'm hoping for is am explanation of things that the mod creators don't mention/ explain in the description of the mod online, like how to recruit certain units, how the culture of companions matters, what a 'banner man' is, and what his bonuses do. Also, many textures (like characters and floors) seem to have a white film/gloss over them. Any idea how to fix this?.
Re: Mount and Blade: Warband. Getting started. Any lance (not all polearms are lances, though. Check the name) can be couched- By default, this just happens whenever you pick up enough momentum (You'll know it's happened when your character lowers their lance without you pressing attack).

There's an option in your village or town to build a regional manor (Not to be confused with a village manor). It will cost 10.000 denars and will then appear a short distance away from the settlement. In the regional manor you may invest money into the treasury, which can then be used to build structures such as a wheat far, market, blacksmith etc.
Some of the boost prosperity and some comes with an NPC you can buy from, or they have NPC's who show up randomly. Some of them pay taxes while others serve other purpouses. You can also field an army from the manor and invite a Holy Order to recruit crusaders from. Lenovo 3 cell vs 6 cell 8. Exactly what Berserkenstein said, though for my money the best way I've found to start out in 1257 is to find a country that's doing well for itself, hire out a company of mercenaries, work for that country as a merc, then follow around a noble helping him win his battles. It'll get you used to the flow of the game pretty well, eventually. The main difference you need to get used to is how big the map is, and how many factions you're up against-if you're going to start your own faction, you really need to know how to play the political game before you're fighting a war on 12 fronts.

Recruitment PrerequisitesThe recruitment system in Silverstag differs quite a bit from what is found in the native game. Troops can be hired directly instead of trained up from a peasant, but in return you'll need to meet specific prerequisites before a troop can be hired.Ability Themes CostMuch like the native game there is a direct cost in denars for each troop type.Recruit TypeEvery recruit belongs to specific origin type. Generally troops that are of tier 1-4 will require peasant recruits. Tiers 5 or higher require veteran recruits. Mercenaries can come from any tier. Cavalry units also require having an available mount.Special PrerequisitesThese are special considerations that can define how the troop is handled whether it is a unique, affiliated or standard troop. They will be listed below.Hiring a TroopThis is done by visiting the 'Gather Information & Recruit Volunteers' / 'Manage this Fief' menu item upon visiting a town:.
Set the 'recruit / dismiss amount' number box at the bottom to the amount you wish to hire. If you choose more than you can afford or are available as recruits then the number will be limited to however many can be hired. Click the 'Recruit Troop' button to the right of the troop type you wish. If this button is disabled it means that you are not meeting one of that troop's prerequisites and that requirement will be shown in a red font.Special Prerequisites #PREREQUISITEDESCRIPTION1Unique LocationThis troop can only be hired at a specific fief and generally only if you have enough relation with that fief.
